My creative journey as an Oconomowoc photographer began with a paintbrush, learning invaluable lessons from the best artist I knew: my grandmother, Barbara. She taught me about painting, drawing, composition, and technique. As I got older and painting became less convenient, I found myself drawn to photography. In 2015, after graduating college, my parents gifted me my first DSLR, and from there, the snowball began to roll. I photographed my first wedding in 2017, quit my corporate job in early 2022, and the rest is history!

The funny thing is, all the valuable lessons I learned from Gram remain incredibly relevant today. How color and light interact, how composition can transform a scene, and how much telling a story through that scene can impact someone—these are the principles I carry with me, a beautiful reminder that my love for painting and photography are deeply intertwined. I thank God every day for those times learning from Gram, as they've profoundly transformed the way I see the world as an artist.

As a dedicated Oconomowoc photographer, I approach each session with this artistic intention, ensuring every element complements each other, tells a story, and sets the mood. Outside of my work, I love spending summers on the lake in northern Wisconsin and winters on Sanibel Island (when I'm able!). I enjoy the occasional night out but am a natural homebody. I am a Christ follower who loves spending time in His creation alongside my husband and our golden retriever, Clifford.
